Meeting/Event Information

The Columbia SHRM Chapter meetings are usually held on the third Thursday of each month at The Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.  Meetings alternate between breakfast (7:30-9:30 a.m.) and lunch (11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.).  Notification for monthly meetings are sent to all members via email at least two weeks prior to our meetings.  If you do not receive these notifications, please email

*** If you plan to attend, you must register by NOON Monday of the meeting week.***

Note: The Guest Fee for regular meetings is $20 paid in advance online or $25 cash/check at the door. Advance registration still is required if paying at the door to ensure sufficient seating and meals.  A $10.00 no-show fee will be charged to any registrant who fails to attend a meeting without cancelling his/her registration in advance.  To cancel your registration, please contact Burgundy Barr at

Gaining your PHR/SPHR certification is a great achievement, and one of the benefits of being a Columbia SHRM member is that these study sessions are free! If you have not yet joined Columbia SHRM, join today. If your company would be more apt to pay for training than a membership, we are happy to invoice you for the sessions. The cost for all of the sessions is $60.

In addition, by participating in the study group, you will have access to purchase the SHRM Learning System materials at a greatly discounted rate. 

The Fall 2018 group, which begins Feb. 22, 2018, meets Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. through April 26, 2018.  Sessions will be held in dontown Columbia.
