Meeting/Event Information

The Columbia SHRM Chapter meetings are usually held on the third Thursday of each month at The Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.  Meetings alternate between breakfast (7:30-9:30 a.m.) and lunch (11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.).  Notification for monthly meetings are sent to all members via email at least two weeks prior to our meetings.  If you do not receive these notifications, please email admin@columbiashrm.com.

*** If you plan to attend, you must register by NOON Monday of the meeting week.***

Note: The Guest Fee for regular meetings is $20 paid in advance online or $25 cash/check at the door. Advance registration still is required if paying at the door to ensure sufficient seating and meals.  A $10.00 no-show fee will be charged to any registrant who fails to attend a meeting without cancelling his/her registration in advance.  To cancel your registration, please contact Burgundy Barr at admin@columbiashrm.com.

Please join us for an engaging presentation by Dr. Rachel Setzler Brown, MD with Prisma Health and owner of Free To Move Fitness, LLC. on Promoting Resilience and Avoiding Burnout.  Everyone has some type of work stress in their life which could lead to burnout.  Stress/burnout has negative effects on employee’s health.  Dr. Rachel Brown will discuss how stress/burnout affects employees’ health and show the participants how resilience tools can change that.  Dr. Brown will present on Promoting Resilience and Avoiding Burnout.  She will show us how to identify and describe the ways stress and burnout impact our health, explain and utilize common tools for developing personal resilience, and develop and implement easy and effective wellness interventions as a way of integrating a culture of wellness into work teams
